Lazy, Morning Sequence
You can literally move through this 5' sequence while still under the covers. The purpose is to take the major joints of the body through their basic range of motion before becoming load bearing. This will not improve flexibility, however it can help slow down the process of becoming less flexible with time/age/etc.
This can help you start your day by giving a little bit back to your body before you ask so much of it.
Oh--and please forgive the "yummy" stretching sounds. :)
Sitting at your desk or in your car all day can be the enemy of your athletic endeavors and contributes to overall just feeling crappy, lethargic or depressed.
Good news for you! Here is a basic 5' sequence that will help loosen up your neck, spine, quads, hamstrings, hip flexors, glutes, and wrists and get you ready to go back to work in no time...even if you don't want to.
This is pretty bare bones...but a great place to start.
